Quickest Way To $500 Per Day

June 2, 2009

I've noticed that you read my blog a lot, THANKS! Lemme know if there's ever anything I can do for you email me, twitter me, or facebook me

Yesterday day I sent out an email about selling higher priced products and people went into a frenzy. We had 27 replies to that email in under 24 hours. So today’s episode of the Tuesday’s Twenty Minute Tackle is about SELLING HIGH PRICED PRODUCTS! (We went way over and did 40 minutes)

Tuesday’s Twenty Minute Tackle airs every Tuesday at 11am Mountain (1pm Eastern). Catch the live shows so you can participate in the conversations. Ask questions, get answers, network with other web business owners.

  • Great video, I definitely agree it requires the same effort for the high ticket.

However, there`s one little advantage to those little "cheap" products. When you charge a few bucks for a valuable product, it looks like a real no-brainer, so you literally sell thousands. You have to know how to pack it right of course, so it does not lose its value because of the low price.
  • I've watched many of your 20 minute tackles as I'm usually on Twitter, when the reminders go up. And I just love that you're a hubby and wife team, seems just like so much more fun - than if one of you's was doing it alone.

I'm wanting to venture into product launches and hope to soon have something solid and dynamite to present. First something small - then "big ticket" as you call it. LOL.

P.S. Nice to also hear of your new home. Congrats! (well i heard about this on Twitterville)

    Cheers,
    Missy

  • Great 20 Minute Tackle!

I have been trying to go through and watch all of the 20 minute tackles that I have missed in the past. With my weird work schedule, I should be able to check these out more often now that I am aware of them!

Keep an eye out for me!

When are you going to be doing your next big product launch? I think that I remember you saying something about a new launch, but I cannot remember where I saw it. . .

I will be keeping an eye out for you as well!

Thanks Mike I hope they help you be more effective or make more money. Some people bitch about affiliate marketing, but when it's done right it should be very helpful to the people you are marketing too.
  • This blog has very good information. I learned a lot from reading here.
  • This was a great post...as always!

We took it a little further and had a little fun with a side project that came up during the discussion.

We all found out that manstraw.com was taken...well, never give up...we snatched up manstraw.org and created an organization wrapped around the needs of all the men out there drinking out of wimpy straws.

Ha, just having a little fun!

Yeah, putting family first isn't always the most profitable thing to do but I feel it's definitely the right thing to do.
  • Now that is something I never knew. Blogs like this really add to our understanding.
  • All your readers must appreciate this information. I know I do. Thanks, from Carlie
  • Excellent info as always, guys, especially the Kunaki reference, which I've been racking my brain for weeks trying to remember!

You both remind me of some good friends of ours here in St. Louis - hope I get to meet and thank you in person one of these days.

Thanks bro and I think I might start looking into that idea we talked about... The search engine thingy
  • The link in the email to 20 min tackle hasn't worked for the last 2 weeks.

It works on the blog site but not for me in email. Just thought I would let you know.
    Thanks
  • Justin Brooke
Thanks, I think I know whats wrong and will fix it.
  • This is a great topic. I have recently started moving to higher ticket items, and when people come ask me for advice I try to help them increase the value of their product so that they can charge more for.

It is so much easier to make money with high ticket items, especially if you build a list of the people who purchase the high ticket items. Once they have proven that they have the money and they are passionate about a topic, you can sell them even more high ticket products in the future and you don't even have to do that much convincing because they are not as strapped for cash.

Oh, and everyone should purchase Joe Lavery's Response Dynamite. That guy is crazy, and I haven't seen the stuff he shows ANYWHERE else (and I have spent thousands of dollars on different products). Everyone else above has great stuff, but Joe's stuff is just so much different, it is really cool stuff. (And Justin's testimonial is on the sales page)

    Shawn
  • Justin Brooke
Yeah Joe is literally a secret weapon to many marketers. His tactics are kind of like Bruce Lee's were back in the day... Ahead of their time and more effective then almost anyone elses.
  • Great video guys...

I thought of another tactic you could do when it comes down to deciding on the monthly membership vs the upfront fee...

    Offer both...

but maybe give the a 10% discount or more if they pay in full...

some people don't mind paying monthly but like me... if I was given the choice of paying upfront for a reduced rate I would take it...

That's what I did for my traffic geyser membership...

Also I just posted my first post for the 30 day challenge... I would like your feedback whether good, bad, or down right mean...

I am a little behind since I am having my 2nd child this week, (or actually my wife is) but I won't give up...

You're doing a killer job dude, and you are definitely one of the ones that I am watching closely.
  • Hey Justin and Chaunna,

Thanks for another great 20 minute tackle episode...
you guys over deliver with this unique way of educating fellow marketers!

I want to promote high ticket items to my list, but I see 2 problems...

    1. They are not accustomed to getting emails promoting high ticket items,
I could probably sell my own high ticket item (once I have one), but how would I transition them to being more open to high ticket offers?

    2. If I'm going to sell a high ticket item, it has to be great... I would hate to lose credibility with my list...

you guys helped me out a lot on that one recommending some great high ticket products, thanks

I'll have to check them out!

  • Justin Brooke
You almost never promote a high ticket product directly... Usually you have a marketing funnel that leads into the high priced offer. For example you may have a low front end offer that teaches the concepts, then a webinar showing how the big offer works and why it's so valuable, then finally pitch the high ticket offer.
  • You might want to try 4 or 5 straws before the one in leather.. lol !
    Very good video !

It's so true.. It takes exactly the same effort to promote a $15 product than a 2k product.
I'll definitely add a few of those on my site !
    Thanks a lot !

I was thinking maybe a leather straw, pvc straw, copper tubing straw, straw made of rock... LoL
  • Abiel
So i may as well sell a 1000 dollar product as a 97 dollar product im making review sites now but i wanna to do 97 dollar or residual income products but i better promote high ticket products.
  • Justin Brooke
You have to put more work into creating a high ticket product but it will pay off much faster and many times over once you do
