Keywords “They” Don’t Want You To Know

May 27, 2009

Hey you're kinda new here aren't you... You should subscribe to our RSS feed, so you never miss our posts. It's also my mission to get to know all my new readers. Connect with me on Twitter so we can chat. Thanks for visiting!

One of the biggest problems I see with people trying to get traffic is they don’t go after the right kind of traffic. So I decided in this weeks episode of the Twenty Minute Tackle we would talk about the proper ways to do keyword research.

Tuesday’s Twenty Minute Tackle airs every Tuesday at 11am Mountain (1pm Eastern). Catch the live shows so you can participate in the conversations. Ask questions, get answers, network with other web business owners.

Thanks to Keith Baxter and Travis Sago for teaching me some of these keyword research methods. These are some of the guys I go to when I’m looking for hot new and effective marketing tactics.

Theseraus.com I will have to use that more, LOL! Great tips as usually, I always need more information on Keyword Research. What is your opinion of Keyword Spy. I am starting to use this and PPC Web Spy with Brad Fallen works pretty good.

So you said before the secret ratio is 65 keywords using Word Tracker Per Day. or 2000 searches per month.

and in Quotes "" in google under 10,000 competitors.

Do you still use this Secret Ratio?

    Thanks,
    Ray

  • Thanks! The video was a very informative discussion. You always put a slightly different twist on things. Also very entertaining, not too heavy.

  • You too Dave... Our top commenter on this blog besides our wife YOU ROCK!
  • I'm glad I didn't miss the show this past Tuesday. I had to go back and look at the video as I missed the start of the program. Some very good ideas on how to drill down for key words that buyers are using. Also, excellent point on the copy right infringement. I have sent the link to the video to a couple of people I thought could use the information in it.

  • This was a good video. I quite enjoyed the discussion. (Even contributed a little bit myself, so I really like this one. :) )

I found out right after this about Google's "Wonder Wheel", and I am still playing around with it and using it to find keywords that I never would have thought of, and that didn't turn up using other tools I was using to find keywords.

  • Hey Justin,

Is there any tool out there that shows local searches for local businesses?

You live in Boise - is there anything that shows Boise searchers searching for Boise Mexican Restaurants for instance?

    Thanks, Great Video...as always...

    No sales-? sign ups lost-$30,43

So far I have 1 sale from article marketing and that is all. Sign ups from safe lists only. Does anyone else is testing things J&C are talking about?
If anyone else here have PPC results of any kind please post them here. I would like to know more.
    Thank you
    Kathy
