In this episode I felt like we jumped around a little bit more then usual, a little scattered. So I wanted to reinforce it with a blog post.

Is $10,000 Per Month in 90 Days Even Possible?

Yes, my wife and I have done it on three separate occasions and before you even let your brain say “but you guys have such and such that I don’t” SHUT UP!

DO NOT LET YOUR BRAIN GIVE YOU EXCUSES!

It is a natural process for your brain/body to fight against you on anything new. Seriously, it’s a proven phenomenon that is widely known in the health & fitness world. It has to do with something about your body & mind always wanting to perform in the easiest ways possible.

I don’t want to get all psychological on you though. Just realize that it’s natural to think this is not possible and that anyone who has done it must have had some sort of advantage that you don’t have.

HOWEVER, you need to remember that everyone started out a rookie from scratch. No one is born with a $10k per month business. With that said let’s get into the different ways it’s possible.

What Does It Take To Make $10k?

I hold the belief that marketing is just math. So whenever I have a new goal I break it down into the math of it. For example if I wanted to make $10k per month I would make a chart like the following…

A chart like that helps me see what my goal breaks down into so I can look at it in smaller chunks. Just holding a goal in your head and trying to “think” about how to solve it is really hard to do. It’s overwhelming and the brain doesn’t like to think about it – so it looks for something new and shiny.

When your goal is broken down like this now you can start doing some math and thinking about different systems that might let you reach that goal.

One Sale a Day Is All It Takes

Next I try to see which one on the chart can I do with just one sale a day. I’m not trying to land on the moon, I just want to reach a goal. For me I need to make it as easy as possible, like one sale a day easy.

Now some people might start thinking “OMG that means I have to sell something for over $200, no one will ever buy something that expensive… ESPECIALLY in this economy!”

WRONG! GET THAT STINKIN’ THINKIN’ OUTTA HERE!

Again this is a natural thought to be having because most people that are trying to go from $0 – $10,000 per month… Well they have $0 so they think $250 is a lot of money. That’s your own self getting in your own way though and you have to let go of that thought.

By looking at the chart I see that if I sell something for $250 once a day then I’m going to get pretty close to my goal.

But How Do You Make One Sale a Day?

You need a salespage that turns just 1 visitor out of every 100 visitors into a sale, then you need to get 100 visitors to your site EVERYDAY. Now, i’m not exactly trying to say that all of this is easy, but that it makes it easy-er when you think about it like this.

If you don’t think you can create a website or write a salespage then you can do make a video or give a free trial that expires unless they pay. If you need help creating a website there are many sites that will help you like Weebly.com, SquareSpace.com, or BlinkWeb.com

Once you have the site you either need to spend time or money to get people to come to your website. You can get website visitors for free by using social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Digg, StumbleUpon, and commenting on blogs/forums but it takes a lot of time.

Or you can get as much traffic as you can afford within hours by buying advertisements from places like Ad Brite, Adwords, or Clicksor.com. We talk about getting website traffic a lot here so you should be able to find lots of methods both free and paid that will get you at least 100 visitors per day.

Is That Really All It Takes?

I’m sorry if I burst any bubbles, but there really isn’t any secret niche or special keyword that you have to find. You just need to find a problem a group of people are having, create something that solves that problem, create a website that sells that solution, then get those people to visit that website.

For example, website owners need traffic. One way to get traffic is to rank high in the search engines. To rank high in the search engines you need lots of backlinks… Well if you sold a service that gets backlinks for website owners you could charge $325 per 500 backlinks (I have done this).

Now you just need to create a website that gets 100 visitors per day and turns just one of them a day into a sale. If you are smart you’ll give them a coupon in exchange for their email address so you can contact them again in the future for even more sales later on.

There are lots of things you could sell for $200 – $500, it doesn’t just have to be backlinks. You could even make a deal with someone who already sells a high priced product and sell it for them in exchange for a commission.

If It’s So Simple Then Why Isn’t Everyone Doing It

The only reason more people aren’t making $10k per month yet is because they are still thinking about what they want to do. They are buying courses, buying ebooks, and reading blog posts about other people making money.

Instead they need to just pick something and get started. The sad thing is they have heard that over and over before. They know everything they need to know but they are just afraid to pull the trigger. And that is something I can’t help with. Only they can get them out of their own way.
