Justin. I had bought your SEO lies book and read your blog. You got some great ideas. Just started doing more article marketing and submitting to the sites you list above. My site is doing better on the search engines lately. Have not tried any forum marketing yet though.

Lemme explain it in money terms because its easier that way. Submitting to the main 4-5 article directories is like making $0.75 of a dollar, submitting to the rest might make you an extra $0.25 to complete that dollar.

Sometimes I’m fine with just the $0.75, sometimes that gets the job done. Sometimes it sounds better to the clients when you are submitting to more places though too. And sometimes the keyword is a little more difficult and needs those extra submissions.

It all really depends on the situation, every keyword is so different from each other.

I really appreciate your approach in building loyal follower with so much original and useful content.
One question, you have talked about helping companies get traffic on the websites by submitting articles to 150 directories, yet in this post you suggest there are only four you need to focus on. So, is listing with these four premium directories better than listing with 150 mediocre sites?

Hi Justin – great post.

I’m a fan of forum marketing also – especially when you add value to the conversation because people tend to respect you much more and click on your links to see what else you have to say.

However I’ve noticed lots of forums are now disabling signatures or banning members who put links in signatures. Have you found any useful tools or ways to find forums that still allow this?

Wow Justin I cannot believe you didn’t mention Google, Yahoo and MSN. All you need is a little keyword research and some SEO and your website or blog will get listed. Most of my traffic comes from these search engines…and they only thing I paid for was time.
