Good point. I generally make posts in multiple formats and distribute the text to article directories, video to video sharing sites & then I take the audio from the video and send it to podcast sites.

I like to use all 3 formats in my posts so that people can absorb the information in the way they find easiest. It also allows me to get my ideas and content out there in multiple formats, allowing me to reach a wider audience.

Another idea is to change the format – make a video, record a “podcast,” release a workbook or manual. Just shifting format alone can generate ideas, failing that you could just re-produce existing posts as videos etc

Nice list. I have many a times got idea from other blogger. I even got an idea from reading a dating e-book.

Can you imagine that a Dating e-book gave me idea to write one of the best Blogging article I have ever written.

Most people don't think about getting ideas from TV. Just don't use it as an excuse to sit around watching TV all day! lol. (I especially gotta say that since I run a fitness blog)

Those are definitely two of my favorite ways. I love the popular posts plugin on other blogs because it really gives you a good idea of what your market is looking for & gives you some really good ideas for content you can put out.

Good stuff Shawn. I picked up a couple of ideas that I hadn't thought about like TV shows. I get some of my best content based on my own experience too, similar to “whatever pops into your head”. Thanks for the ideas.
